For those who don't know about it, Springfield Falcons' Wade MacLeod suffered a seizure yesterday during a Falcons/Phantoms game. The seizure happened after a clean hit to the boards by Phantoms' Brandon Manning (who sent him well wishes on his twitter). The game was suspended and postponed for a later date. Wade MacLeod tweeted later that he is doing fine.
The Hockey Day in America that ran on NBC over the weekend highlighted a non-profit called Ice Hockey in Harlem. The non-profit introduces ice hockey to students from the NYC and CT areas, highlighting after school activities and educational goals as well as learning how to play. More information at the website, it's a good non-profit to get involved with if at the very least you have the financial means to donate equipment.
